Today’s writing theme challenge subject is, “The Morning After.”

The morning after I used Henna on my hair I felt deep regret.

The morning after I had my first Currituck BBQ Sliced Brisket I woke up wanting some more.

The morning after the woman hit my car from behind I hurt. And I still do today.

The morning after my last birthday I looked in the mirror and cursed the lines on my face.

The morning after I rode my first roller coaster I wanted to ride another.

The morning after I got my first dog I thought, “Did I do the right thing?” I did.

The morning after Christmas I relaxed for the first time in a month.

The morning after a friend told me I was strong I became stronger.

The morning after I had too much gin and orange juice I vowed to never have it again. And I haven’t.

The morning after my first child was born I became what I was put on this earth for.

The morning after I buried my father I wished I had him back.

“The morning after my first child was born I became what I was put on this earth for.”

  • What a great take on the theme. Seriously well done. And I like how you got deep with some of them, too. And I truly think many of these there are a lot of people who will related to it.

  • Wow, this is awesome. I can relate to so many of them too.

Have a terrific day and weekend. ☺

  • Regret , desire, pain, joy sorrow and strength. The morning after is powerfully thought provoking. A great and meaningful take on the prompt. I, too, can relate to some, especially the last one.

The morning after I got my first dog I thought, “Did I do the right thing?” I did.

I’ve thought that with all three of the dogs I’ve brought home. The answer was the same as yours.
