The Metropolis in Corolla
Published on Sunday, November 15, 2015 by

Every few months I like to visit the shipwreck Metropolis in Corolla.  As wind and storms come and go she becomes covered, uncovered and covered again.

This weekend was no different, with her ribs a little more covered but other parts newly exposed.  This was the first time I have seen the beautiful patina around the hardware.

  • I can see why you would want to visit so often. I would too.

Have a fabulous day and week ahead. ☺

    • It amazes me that they don’t consider this of “historical value.” It is just rotting away… but has so much history!

Katherine, I LOVE how you captured the hardware because it’s such a beautiful color contrast with the color of the wood. Isn’t it amazing how over time, the weather turned the shipwreck into a thing of beauty? Like a piece of art, created by nature!

Thanks for sharing, my friend, and have a fabuloso week!

    • I missed you so much… I am so thrilled you are back! Now it will be a surprise…. is he blogging this week? Next? Always something to look forward to!
