Today is the final day of November’s NaBloPoMo. I DID IT! Thirty days of writing and I didn’t skip a beat.
What did I learn about writing a blog post every day? I learned that a post a day is too much, at least for my writing style. I like to be inspired. To embarrass myself in public and be able to write about it. To be touched by something and tell the story.
Writing for writing’s sake was good practice for me. Routine is good, especially when it comes to blog posting. However, daily was just too much for a regular thing. Furthermore, expecting people to read your blog daily is asking way too much… unless you are Johnny Depp or something. Or MikeWJ, of course.
I’m glad I participated in this daily writing challenge and I feel it was good for me. But I didn’t LOVE it. What I found I LOVE is photo challenges, with a bit of writing in between.
Meleah has a new camera. CERTAINLY she has a challenge coming soon? January, say?
I’ve often thought about posting on a schedule, like the amazing Ron does. There is structure in that, and yet some time for resting as well. Ron, are you happy you are doing it that way?
Saturday is my birthday. My gift to myself will be to relax.
Oh, who am I kidding, I’ll probably end up cleaning the house! Furthermore, my daughter is on the verge of being very sick, meaning I will probably be sick on my birthday. Life’s little twists and turns! Either way, it’s time for a little break. And Lemon Drops have Vitamin C, don’t they?
Now that the challenge is over I can get back to what I love the most. Reading everyone else’s blogs!
Have a fabulous weekend everyone!
