Will wonders never cease? It SNOWED. It snowed it snowed it S N O W E D! Our amazing ocean keeps the air just warm enough to give us rain when others get snow. A fair tradeoff. But OH how we always wish for snow.
And today, our prayers were answered. It was like Christmas. My nine year old woke me up at 7 a.m. with eyes full of wonder. Mom… it snowed! And from that moment on, she never stopped.
BEFORE coffee, she and I wrapped ourselves up tight and went outside. It was just her and I alone in the quiet. Everything was silent, pure and untouched. We walked around the block in wonder, talking in hushed voices. It was magical.
And from then on, it was adventure after adventure. Snowball fights with the teenagers, powdery snowmen and ice cold walks in a never seen before winter wonderland.
It was the perfect day.

I am back because I wasn’t able to watch the video before. Being from the northeast, I love watching southern families enjoy the snow. I don’t think my kids would think to run outside in bare feet. That looked painful.

Whee! Isn’t it great fun? We had a ball on our sledding weekend, ourselves. And… more’s coming today. Good for sledding, bad for driving.
this is a great story about snow we get it all the time and it weighs on your shoulders but then you read something like this and it makes you remember how beautiful it really is know matter how cold it is so thanx for sharing cause it made me thankful for even the snow…
