It’s hard to be funny, creative and entertaining when your head is full of snot. Lucky me. My strep has chosen a new friend, called sinus infection. They are very happy together and are often found making me cough like crazy, wobble with vertigo and talk like a man. They are also fighting against my antibiotic with great dexterity, much to my dismay.
I had to drag myself out of the house this weekend to grocery shop. After all, children require food to run, don’t they? I THINK I saw that in the parenting manual.
My daughter came along carrying four dimes and two nickels, all ready to change them for gumball machine quarters. While shopping, she dropped her change at least 25 times. I am not exaggerating. Ding! Oh no, where is the dime? Ding! That was nickel! Those coins would NOT stay in her hand.
I commented on the significant amount of times she had dropped her change just as I reached for a box of spaghetti. You guessed it. I did the old slip and drop, causing the spaghetti to explode open. The poor child gets it from me. God bless her.
