sinus surgery

Where have I been during the last month? Let’s see. The doctor’s office, the pharmacy, the doctor’s office, the pharmacy, the ENT, the doctor’s office, the emergency room, the advanced imaging center and tomorrow, the ENT.

I believe all of this could have been avoided had I just called Roto-Rooter.

For most of my adult life I have suffered from sinus infections. This means I have had too many antibiotics. Which also means the antibiotics don’t work anymore. I have been sick for the last six weeks. I’ve had two different rounds of antibiotics and was even sent to the ER to monitor my heart and my ever-changing blood pressure.

My life is pretty much at a standstill until I get rid of this infection. I pray the answer will come tomorrow when I get my CT results from the ENT specialist. When I last saw him I asked if he could shove a huge stick up my nose. He chuckled and said, “Well, we kind of can…”

So big stick, BRING IT ON! I am tired of blowing out blood clots from my nose, weaving at every head movement and not having enough energy to fix myself anything but lime sherbet. And besides… I am running out of things to watch on Netflix. Do you have any suggestions?.

Aw, Katherine….I am SO SORRY to hear about this.

    (((((((((((((((((((((((( YOU ))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Doesn’t being sick SUCK? As I was reading about what had happened to you, I kept thinking about my two week hospital stay last year because of my lung infection and how freaking frustrating it was to have no energy to do anything except lie there and get well. I so know how you feel about having rounds of antibiotics. OMG…at one point, I had three different IV drips of different antibiotics because the infection was so bad.

And don’t you hate the blood work they have to keep doing to see how your body is responding to the antibiotics?

I remember sitting in my room day after day watching old episodes of The Golden Girls and Gilligan’s Island to pass the time – ha!

I’m sending you LOTS of positive energy and good thoughts so that you get well soon and are feeling better.

Hope all goes GREAT tomorrow with the ENT specialist, my friend!

    You take care, okay?

  • Oh my, this sounds more than awful. I’m so sorry you’re going though this. I don’t have a fix because I’ve not experienced this for the long haul. I know I’ve had a few sinus infections and they are miserable.

I hope you feel better soon. Big healing hugs. ♥♥♥

  • So sorry to see that you are dealing with all that. It sounds miserable. I hope that the doc figures out how to clear all of that up. My neighbor just had some type of procedure to clear her sinuses and she says shes feeling much better.

As for Netflix…not sure what’s on there right now. I’ve been renting a lot of Redbox as of late. I watch just about everything that was nominated for awards.

  • Sorry that you have had so much crap going on. A friend of our has had something since the first of the year, with rounds of antibiotics and doctor visits, and she is still coughing. It has apparently been a rough winter for illnesses. I hope you are feeling better by now.

Oh, did you check into turmeric for your cholesterol? I pm’d you a while back.
