Today is THE DAY. After a full day of work, I will be going home, loading up the van and hauling three teens and my daughter to the Outer Banks. No doubt I will need a Java Monster to keep me awake on the road. We will be meeting Mom at the beach house for three full days and four nights of glorious peace over Easter break. This is our first trip of the year and I am still in disbelief that it is finally here.
There is always new adventure during our beach house excursions. Last Easter Weekend we got the van stuck in sand, spotted a baby cormorant and enjoyed chocolate for the first time after Lent. And amazingly, the weather was warm enough during one afternoon for two of the kids to don their bathing suits and skim.
Wireless is always “iffy” in Corolla. Perhaps I should rephrase that. Corolla has wireless, however, I don’t PAY for it when we are there. We simply sit on the couch in a certain spot, turn our mouths just right and grab a bit of wireless from the neighbor next door.
I will certainly recap the weekend whenever I can, however you can follow our adventures live through Twitter at @shootmenowblog . I hope I will be able to post pictures of LIVING deer this time. Don’t get me wrong… I love Mr. Bigglesworth. But Mama Deer and her twin babies are just a bit more, well – active.
Don’t forget to friend me on Twitter at @shootmenowblog to keep up with our latest Corolla adventures!
