Day 26 of the photo challenge in which I have laughed more times than I can count!  All of you are so creative!

Today’s subject is “rising.”  My daughter is submitting a picture she took specifically for this subject.  She managed to get this shot from a car going 55 mph!

This one is mine… it is my view every morning in Corolla as I sip my coffee after the dog’s early walk.  Now do you see why I feel like I’m away from home five days a week?

Wow. WOW. They’re both phenomenal. What a view you have…..

    • I am so blessed to have my Mom’s house to go to at the beach!

  • ReformingGeek

Those are great! I might be tempted to get up early every day if I had that view. I wouldn’t mind a ride in that Cloud Lab.

Sunrises and sunsets are some of my favorite photos. Nice job.

  • Wow, two great pics. I love the color of the sunrise. Really great.

  • Both great photos! I adore that sunrise and I’m jealous of your morning view.

    • Thank you so much! I don’t know what I would do away from the ocean! 🙂

  • Your daughter has obviously inherited your eye for a good photo. The best part of my day is hitting the coast to watch the sun rise. Sure, I’d love to be able to sit on my front porch to watch (loved my CB time), but I’ll take the 10 minute drive since there are so many deprived souls who live a landlocked life {points with sadness at MikeWJ}.

    • Well technically, with it being Mom’s house, I am land locked too… but thank HEAVEN’S Mom and Dad built the place!!!

  • Ron

    WOW! WOW! WOW!

Katherine, BOTH these shots are freakin’ AMAZING!!!

I can’t believe your daughter captured that shot from a moving car?!?

And the sunset is truly magnificent! Honestly, that photo should be on the front cover of a photography book!

    Way to go, girl!

  • Your daughter managed to get her shot from a car going 55 mph? What? That’s amazing. And Katherine, I am in AWE of your photograph. Absolute awe. Holy crap.

    • Yea she ROCKED it, didn’t she!!!! And that sunrise… oh my gosh. No one is ever up at the house but me… I never get to share it with anyone – so I was glad I could share here!

  • I’d get up and walk the dog to enjoy that sunrise. Hell, I’d get up even if I didn’t have a dog.

    • Ahhh but Friday night at the beach house is lemon drop night.. making Saturday morning a bit difficult…

  • Nice photos! That sunrise is amazing.

    • I would love to sit on the deck with you with a cup of coffee… although I suspect you would have me laughing so hard it would come out of my nose!

  • Both of these photos are amazing, Katherine! I love the clouds swirling around in the first one, and the sunrise is just gorgeous.

Aw, a sunrise, and a gorgeous one at that. Unfortunately, I feel sick. I always feel sick that early in the morning. I wish you’d told me it was a sunset instead.

The shot of the Zeppelin is really interesting, partly because I’ve never seen one in person, and partly because of the way it’s shrouded in clouds. It’s sort of ominous looking.

    • I didn’t crop it at all Mike… I loved how she captured it… after she took it she looked at the picture and commented on how it looked neat going behind the clouds. Almost a bit creepy Chitty Chitty Bangish!

  • That is an absolutely gorgeous shot. Great subject for today’s prompt, because you know. Really gorgeous shot. Wow!

  • I love your morning walk photo! The best time of day… when you can get out before everybody else messes things up.

    • You are SO RIGHT! And when it is low tide, you get to look for sea glass before anyone else does!

  • Jackal

    Great captures !

    • Thanks! You can’t go wrong with a child behind a camera… and with the beach!

  • Do you think I could borrow your daughter for the remaining days of this challenge? I’ll give her back, I promise! 🙂

Fabulous photos, Katherine. I guess talent runs in the family!

    • Ha ha well, it skipped a generation… skipped me, went to her. Unless falling in public is a talent??? Ha ha!

  • Jay of The Depp Effect

Both gorgeous shots. The airship is wonderfully ethereal, hiding in the clouds like that – well done to your daughter for catching that at 55mph.

The sun rising .. well, just wow.

    • She loved how you see the sky, the clouds and the blimp going behind…. I am proud of her… thanks!

  • Wow, both photos are perfect and damn, I have to get to the ocean.

  • I like em both. You just don’t see too many dirigibles around these days.

  • Both pictures are awesome. Both are perfect for the prompt.
