OMG! I swear our hands could be twins!!! I'm your age and was looking up "old lady hands" for myself and found your blog. How funny! Actually, if I were to take a picture and we both did a side by side comparison, my would look slightly more, em, elderly. I'm tempted to send you a pic, so that you will feel a tad better after seeing mine. My hands have always had a more stubby crepey appearance as opposed to my sisters (both older) who have fine slender soft hands and fingers. My mothers' hands were also a bit strange looking though hers might have aged more due to being a heavy smoker. Mine, well, I think genetics, sun exposure mainly while driving, (I'm very fair) dryness from using chemicals, soap etc and chubbiness all have something to do with it. Also, my feet look less feminine than my sisters but I do show them alot more love than my hands and they are well pedicured. Nails on my hands do help but anyone looking at them would swear they belonged to a much older person. BTW, I think sons "can" say certain things to their Moms. :-)

I think your hands look great. Working in a hospital opens you to a myriad of infectious gremlins. Keep up the great work.

I think you have the right idea about having free samples, but seriously they look fine to me. I'm older than you are (48) and my hands look the same. They aren't old, just mature.
