My Town

This month’s photo challenge subject was “My Town.” I can’t wait to see where everyone lives!

In my town, the coast guard keeps us safe during tropical storms.

In my town, hawks know how to take advantage of man-made structures.  Can you find him?

In my town, you never know what you will see on the ocean.

In my town, the sound of the waves can make anyone sleepy.

In my town, every dog has her day… and loves it!

  • Living near the ocean is awesome. I really love being on the ocean. Can’t afford it, but it would be nice.

Have a fabulous day and weekend. ☺

  • Hah, I would of never spotted the hawk. The picture with the big pillar structures, is that some type of oil rig. (sorry for my ignorance as I don’t live near an ocean.)

Love the bird and dog pictures…I just tend to adore animals.

Love the take you came up with for this month. Your shots capture the feeling of living in a costal town wonderfully. Love the pupper!! Such a beauty.

  • Pamela Wright

Great take on the theme and love the coastal pictures. Love the shot of the gull falling asleep – very cute.

  • Danielle Kempe

    Great job!

    Where do you live?

    • That would help, wouldn’t it! It is Corolla NC… so beautiful!

  • Rachel B

Love that you live so close to the beach! I’m a little jealous!

  • Fantastic set of images for your town. Thanks for taking us through your town. In the off-season months, I wish I lived closer to the beach. Not sure what I would think when it’s overpopulated, though! 😀

I’m a month behind visiting all the PBC posts (better than a week ago when I was two months behind), so making the rounds in between answering the door to trick-or-treaters.

What a terrific set of photos to showcase the beaches in your NC hometown. That Coast Guard helicopter photo is the one I like the best, maybe because you captured the downdraft blowing around the grasses so well.

That hawk is pretty hard to spot, so thanks for the spoiler pic. We have a pair of hawks that nest on the power poles about a km from our house every year. They’ve migrated to their winter home now, but I hope to see them again next spring.
