Mother Nature’s Surprise

Today we had up to 40 mph winds. My only worry was how seriously huge my hair was getting by the end of the day. But when I got home, I found there was a bit more to think about. Let’s see. Insurance. Deductible. I could never afford to replace a shed. Cutting up a tree. DEDUCTIBLE… Did I mention cutting up a tree? Hmmm, and about the giant HOLE going through the shed. And how would I even get it OFF the shed – it is much heavier and bigger than it looks.

But I refuse to stress. After all, it happened when there were no children in the back yard. So I will now look at this tree and consider myself blessed! (Until I look at my big hair again…)

OK, well I have an update. This tree is now an official permanent landmark in our backyard. Our deductible is $3,000. And I refuse to touch a chain saw – after all, I cut myself almost weekly with household kitchen knives! So the tree remains on top of the shed. I think it kind of looks nice, don’t you?
