I Do I Do I Do Believe In Ghosts…

Day 16 of NaBloPoMo is SCARRRRYYYYYYYYYY!  The topic is kind of scary too.  I am actually more interested in what YOUR answer is to this question!

Would you buy your dream house if the price was right BUT you also were told it was inhabited by ghosts?

How many ghost stories have you watched where you said out loud, “don’t go in there!”  You hear voices whispering your name and you stay in the house?!  You find protoplasm under the sheets and you stay in the house?!  You see a pig with red eyes staring through the window and you stay in the house?!

I’m sorry… the minute I see blood dripping from the walls, I am OUT.  Blood.  Walls.  BAD.

So… would you buy the house?  Or would you say, “Ghosts Schmosts!”  Or do you even believe in ghosts?  Have you ever SEEN a ghost!?

I do believe in ghosts. I swear mrs. henniker still haunts my house from time to time.

    two words.

  • I wouldn’t buy a haunted house… but as a Realtor I occassionaly sell houses with sad stories attached. A lot of people have no problem with a house’s history. Several people say their houses are haunted and it doesn’t bother them. Most think its bunk and don’t believe in it, so they don’t have any problem with the purchase.
I, personally, am fussy about the history of the houses I buy. I don’t want a haunted house, and I don’t want a house where there has been a violent death, and I would pause if a house is being sold because of a family crisis. I want my house to have housed happy people. I am such a house bigot.

Two words!! (Oh wait….mehleah already used ’em…….dangitall……)

Yeah, I’ve been finding protoplasm under the sheets since I was a teenager. Doesn’t scare me that much.

I’d buy the house. I don’t believe in ghosts, even tho my mom and sister and two good friends all have had convincing encounters with what they believed were ghosts. There’s enough stuff in real life to frighten me that I don’t have time to be frightened by the afterlife.

That said, I’d be scared to go into the basement alone at night…..
