Going Commando

going commando

This is my hallway.  The dirty laundry has taken hold of my house.  It is breeding.  It is growing in strength and numbers.  And pretty soon, it is going to stink.  For alas, my washing machine is broken, as is my bank account.  And you know what?  Dirty laundry can SMELL fear.

But I have a plan.  I am going to put dark makeup under my eyes, throw on some camo and go commando.  I don’t have clean underwear left anyway.

There are so many ways to say it.  Going commando, andar a lo gringo, andar strike, going regimental, go gringo style, corso commando, Переход Коммандо, 行く奇襲, 持續突擊隊, out in the open, ready for action, comando de curso, übergeht commando, increase ventilation.

Either way, I’m doing it.  And then I’m going to maneuver towards the laundry in stealth mode, surprise attack it and wrestle it to the ground.

Booyah.

Oh no! I can’t even imagine what I would do if my washing machine broke! Guess I’d probably have to take the commando route too!

I don’t think I could ever survive without the washing machine. I’m always doing the laundry everyday and it never seems to end… sighhhh…

Sadly, my house looks like that and my washer works :( . I feel your pain. I was without a washer for a while. Try taking kids to the laundromat. There is an experience you won’t want to repeat.

Haha, what a funny post! But seriously, I hope your washer will be repaired soon. I have tried washing clothes with my hands when my washing machine broke. My hands bled, literally!

And with my old lady hands, I bet I would need a transfusion!

With the snow forecast for tomorrow (and we NEVER get snow so everything shuts down) I think we need to do it tonight… ugh. Oh yea, and MY house looks like that too – I was just using the broken machine as an excuse! Oh wait, did I just type that?

Hope you get the washer soon! That is an awful thing to go without.

By the way, I gave you an award at http://shhmommaswriting.blogspot.com/2010/01/thank-you-for-my-first-award.html.

I lost my washer and dryer just over a year ago. It was the month from hell where everything went wrong or broke and I had no money to fix anything http://www.redheadranting.com/2008/12/. I hope you get it fixed soon there is nothing worse than not having the ability to clean your clothes if you want to. Not that you have to but if you want to.

Hahahaha! This could be my hallway. My washing machine isn’t broken though. My excuse it too many babies! :) It may be a flimsy excuse but I am going to use it anyway!

Awesome!!! I will write some things up tomorrow!! :)

I inherited my stackable machines when I moved in, so I have no idea when they’ll go. Of course, there’s never any warning. One day they work, the next day they’re landfill. Hope you get yours fixed soon!

I am cracking up! hahahahahahahahaha. My laundry often takes over the house too, but, Ive never had to go commando before!

That looks just like my hallway! Like others, my washing machine works.. but EVERY TIME I get the laundry baskets empty, more dirty laundry shows up. Not just a few dirty shirts but the baskets are FULL again..

We had a spell of no washer and no money. The boys thought it was great fun to get in the tub with the clothing and stomp their feet in the soapy water. Of course, I was left to rinse it all and hang it out to dry. I think we washed it that way for three months.

I have also washed my underwear in the shower, when I was in their taking a shower. It works too.

WOW you WIN! Having to wash for three months like that. But you certainly did make it fun, at least for the boys! I remember rinsing and rinsing in the tub when I hand washed my clothes. It is hard work, so I can’t imagine doing a family’s worth. You deserve one of those gorgeous red washer and dryer sets – maybe two!
