This Conditioner REALLY Works
Published on Sunday, September 16, 2012 by

Ah yes, my hair.  My wiry, damaged, poufy, split ends hair.  Did you know that if I put a comb through my hair, it would actually reach the height of the world’s tallest skyscraper?  We are talking tower lights so the airplanes do not run in to me kind of high.  NO LIE.

frizzy hair

That is why I was more than happy to try Dove’s Intensive Care Conditioner.  I am not even ashamed to admit that Dove says this conditioner is for a damage level described as “Intense.”  If you read further, “Intense” is defined as “Very dry, brittle and breaking.”  That’s me!

During the summer, I am in the ocean every chance I get.  The combination of salt and sun has turned my already dry hair in to straw.  By the time we are on our way home every Sunday, my hair feels both frizzy and brittle.

I have tried many MANY hair products.  Concoctions meant for curly hair.  Mousses.  Shampoos. Conditioners.  Deep oil treatments.  Not much works.  Lately I have pretty much given up.  I was never able to find anything affordable that I could use on a day-to-day basis that actually worked on my dry hair.

This is why I was genuinely surprised at the results I obtained using Dove Intensive Repair Conditioner.  In all honesty, this conditioner actually helped to tame my wild, curly hair.  I would not write it if I did not see positive results.bloger reviewer

I noticed a difference in my hair the first time I used Dove’s Intensive Repair Conditioner.  My hair hung better, the curls held together and it all felt significantly softer. My hair is never soft, so this was a happy surprise.

After using this conditioner for a few weeks, I already know that when my bottle runs out I will be purchasing another.  And the best part?  Just like all of Dove’s products, it is affordable.

Proof is in the pudding.  If you have seen me in person, you know that my hair is usually double this size.  I love what this conditioner does!

    AWESOME product review, Katherine!

    Both very informative and funny!

“We are talking tower lights so the airplanes do not run in to me kind of high. NO LIE.”

    Cracked me up!

As you know, I used to be a licensed cosmetologist, so I know the challenges that come with curly hair. Personally, working on someone who had curly hair was my favorite! I love curly hair because I think it’s sexy!

Great photo of your hair after using this product! Thanks for sharing with us about Dove’s Intensive Care Conditioner.

    Again, awesome product review!

    P.S. Love your hair!

    You do have beautiful hair.

  • I’ve really admired Dove since they started with their “Real Women” campaigns and stopped using Photoshopped, airbrushed models in their ads. It’s good to know that their products actually work too. And I agree with Michael, you do have beautiful hair. 🙂

  • Wow, you’re hair looks FABULOUS. I love Dove products, I mostly use their body washes and deodorants, and now I might try this conditioner!

Wow…… Look at how it’s tamed that hair of yours!

Seriously……the girl has thick, curly hair. She’s failed to wash it with a shampoo for almost a year now, and that’s been on purpose! Instead she simply uses a conditioner and washes her hair with that.
I’ve been appalled…….AND amazed. She’s gone from sticky-outty hair that’s wild and unmanageable to a tress of tamed curls and it’s just lovely.
Dunno where she came up with that idea/information, but the transformation has been awesome—AND she’s not struggling with scalp issues from too many chemicals! So condition away!! It must feel awesome to have some tameness to the curlies–and truly, it looks wonderful!
