welcome home sign

Whether we have been gone for an hour or a day, my daughter and I are always greeted as if we’ve been gone a year. Coming home never gets old!

The camera was vertical rather than horizontal and I apologize for that.  But when you are attempting to get in a door with this going on, “it happens!”

OMG Katherine, what a PRECIOUS video clip! Don’t ya just LOVE dogs? My family had a German Shepard who would do the same thing every single time we came home from being out. Not only would she howl, but she would also jump on us and try to lick our faces.

And it’s funny because I’ve had cats too. One would greet me by the door and rub itself between my legs and meow. While the other one would sit there with no emotion whatsoever and look at me as if it was saying, “Great, I’m glad you’re home…now FEED me!” HAHAHAHAHAHA!

Have a faaaaaabulous week, my friend!

    • Ha ha ha!!!! The “now FEED me!” Cats are so funny. The one we have now is a greeter… probably because she was a wild cat starved for attention. We have had others who are like, “Yawwwnnnn!”

I love German Shepards. My friend has one who is SO LOVING!.

  • Awww and I’m linking you to Awww Monday this morning. This is so precious. Our Little Bit talks when we come home too.

Have a woof woof day you two. My best to your humans. ☺

    • Thank you for the link!!! Right now the dogs are tumbling and playing on my bed while I am trying to type… they went from cute looking to ferocious! 🙂

Dogs are always better greeters than cats, but our Lucy gives us no end of scolding when we’ve been gone too long (according to her! ) Cheers!

    • Hi Kathe, I thought I recognized your name from Magpie tales.

    • Cats are like mothers… they will tell you when you need correcting ha ha!!!

  • That is a funny, sweet doggie greeting. On behalf of cats, I must say that our Sophie is quite the greeter cat. She is getting more vocal these days too.

    • Our “wild Corolla cat” we rescued has a great meow, but she is like yours and actually greets me when I go in to any room she is in. Some cats, not so much…. it’s great having one that is like that, isn’t it? 🙂

Oh, how they love you! Too cute!

    • The howling one is our recent “Foster Fail.” She was in a loving home where the wife got cancer and COPD so they had to turn her over. I was River’s foster home and we fell in love with River and adopted her. It makes me so happy to see her love us. I know she loved her first family, but knowing she is happy here means so much!
