There Were 50 Balls Behind Her….

… but look at the one she couldn’t take her eyes off of.

dog park ball

After all, that is the one that got away!

  • I can understand this completely. We have a dog that's why. They want what they want when they want it.

    Have a terrific day. 🙂

    • It was the FUNNIEST THING. We've only had her a few days and knew she “loved tennis balls”… but this isn't love, it is complete and absolute ADDICTION. Do they have a “balls anonymous?” (that's what she said, I know I know)…. but seriously… she found so many hidden everywhere in our house – I had no idea they were all in here. She played with the many MANY ones in the dog park, but when she saw that she put her nose through the fence and stood STILL… FROZEN… and wouldn't move until my daughter climbed over and got it for her!

      • Too cute. lol. Tennis Balls Addiction Anonymous…

  • Funny, Comedy Plus's comment also sounds like a 2 year old… “They want, what they want, when they want it.”

Toys always look like more fun when they are on the other side of the fence.

    • I wish she could have told me if it WAS more fun once we got it for her. You might be right – it might have been a bit of a let down once she got it LOL!

This is such a great shot. It looks like she has her eyes on the prize.

    • Eyes on the prize – it reminds me of Willy Wonka! 🙂 When she finds a ball under the furniture or like this, behind a fence, she will freeze and no matter WHAT you do, even offer food, she will not move until she gets the ball. It is SO FUNNY!

  • Aw!!!! xoxoxo

  • I guess this is why the grass is always greener. Ba dump, bump. I'll be here all night, folks. Remember to tip your waiter.

    • Ba dump dump…! You know what that sound is? Me digging through my purse to tip the waiter… but I ain't got nothin'! 😉

  • Too cute! My friend had a dalmatian who used to do the same thing. I wonder if it's a character trait among dalmatians?

    • Dottie always liked balls but she played with other things too. But Emma…. she is addicted. (I keep thinking there are great opportunities here for lots of “that's what she saids…” ) Maybe the dalmatian has a chasing instinct. I know they are natural runners – but Dottie would chase just about any toy.
