This month’s photo challenge subject was Color.  I had a wonderful time choosing my favorites and can’t wait to see the photos others took!

  1.  We have had this dragon kite since the children were small.  It was worth every penny.

2.  A family member sent me these whimsical Hayao Miyazaki figures.  I love them as much as I love the movies.

3.  This year we tried the Pinterest shaving cream food color eggs.  They were a total fail.  But the shaving cream was gorgeous.

4.  Laughing gulls look pretty black and white at first glance.  But up close they have beautiful browns, reds and burgundies.

5.  Black against white against blue.  I love how the laughing gull spread’s his tail while he flies.

  • There is color everywhere. Great shots too.

Have a fabulous day and week. ☺

Katherine, can you hear me CLAPPING? Because I AM! These photographs are faaaaaaaaaaaaaabulous! And not only because of the amazing color you captured, but I also LOVE the aperture, it’s FLAWLESS! And also….the clarity and sharpness in each one of these images is just beautiful!

That final shot of the seagull in flight is amazing. GREAT capture!

You, my friend, are one hell of a TALENTED photographer! Always such a joy to view your photos!

Oh my, I’ve seen those shaving cream egg crafts going around 😉 Why were they a fail? Consider trying silk dye eggs next season? (that’s my post)
Love your gull, is he a friend of yours? He must have either felt very comfortable with you around, or you own a mega spectacular zoom!

    Great job!

My favorite is the close up of the gull.

I’m sure that dragon kite looks awesome in the air! All your photos are great, but, hands down, my fave is the failed shaving cream eggs!

  • Donna Bishop

They are all great shots, but the last gull picture is just wonderful. There is such great detail in the bird’s feathers.

  • Clare Barton

Great photos Katherine..I especially like the shots of the gull nice detail and colour in both images. Interesting macro shot of your ‘Hayao Miyazaki’ figures, another world with different inhabitants.

  • Such a great collection of photos for the theme. I love the first one. Kite photos can be so cool. I really like it. And the gulls. Nice work with capturing them — especially the one so close!
