I will show you the “before” picture just so you can appreciate the “after picture,” representing today’s photo challenge word CALM.

dogs playing

My CALM photo is dark.  It is not framed well.  It was taken at a strange angle.  Because when you have a new puppy in the house, and the puppy FINALLY falls asleep, you let sleeping dogs lie.

  • Yes you do. Looks like your alpha has made fast friends with your new puppy.

  • ladyV

new pup looks tired out. sweet.

  • Mel

    Awwww……puppy go nite-nite.

  • nice and calm now that the pups are asleep.

  • Animals and children are all alike, at their very cutest when they’re calm and asleep. 😉

    • Paula Wooters

      So true! So true!

  • Do you ever watch dogs sleep? Sometimes they dream and when they do they move all about. Hilarious.

    • Paula Wooters

Yeah… real funny until whatever roadkill they’ve been eating works its way through their systems and they start to spew noxious fumes in their sleep.

  • Paula Wooters

Wiser words were never spoken, Katherine. Only a puppy owner can truly understand that phrase.

  • Too sweet! I’m not sure that you needed the first shot, although it does show the opposite!

  • Jamie Baker

Indeed, let sleeping dogs lie. I know this all too well.

  • Ron

    “you let sleeping dogs lie.”

    Excellent photo for calm, Katherine!

And I also love the action shot as well!

  • stoneskin

The first photo is pretty much how I imagine calm isn’t. Which is perfectly fitting for the theme mind, as it has the concept of calm in it, in some shape or form…

  • Agree…that is such a sweet picture. What a great example of calm.

  • Danielle Batog

Oh I miss the puppy stage!!!! Too cute.

  • Kevin

    Lol – Love this.

  • Haha…the first shot is so NOT calm.

  • Barb

    🙂 Looks like mine

    • Barb

my two pups I mean 🙂

  • MikeWJ

Yes, I agree. Let sleeping dogs lie. And children. And drunken husbands. And your boss, if he or she happens to fall asleep at his or her desk. Less work that way.

  • “and the puppy FINALLY falls asleep, you let sleeping dogs lie.”

    Amen to that!

  • So sweet! I puppy-sat once, I know what you mean. 🙂
