stir fry tofu

Lunch time at work on Friday found me reaching in the fridge to pull out my gluten-free tofu stir fry. In one swift movement I lifted up and tilted the container, spilling a batch of sauce down my lanyard, keys, shirt, pants and shoes. I immediately reeked of menu item number 16.

After vigorously rubbing every bit of sauce I could find, I verbalized my disappointment at still smelling like Chinese food. Just then a family member called.

“Hi! How are you?”

“Well, I’m covered in food…”

“You are covered in what?”

“In Chinese food.”

“Ohhh! I thought you said you were covered in poo! See Katherine? There is always a bright side to everything! “

Here is hoping that even when things seem bad, you remember the bright side.

Have a bright and wonderful week!

  • Yes, you got the better deal on the chinese food. The poo would have been far worse than the number 16.

    Have a fabulous day. ☺

HAHAHAHAHA! Yup…there’s always a bright side, Katherine, isn’t there? But I can’t tell you how many times I’ve done the same thing. I can be so clumsy at times. I’ve done that with Mexican food at work and ended up smelling like onions from the guacamole!

    Stunning photograph, my friend!

    • Don’t you hate smelling like what you ate because you spilled it! Oh, or when someone brings something to work and heats it up and it smells NASTY, like fish. ACK!

  • Ha! No matter what, it could always have been worse. I’ll always have the olive oil, although I did have to get new shoe laces.

Thanks for showing us there is a bright side to the dark moments.
